Opening datalab: growers, cultivators, tech – make the mix.

Opening datalab: growers, cultivators, tech – make the mix.

On January 23, the datalab & fieldlab at Tomatoworld was officially opened. RoboCrops played a key role in driving these developments as part of the NXTGEN Hightech project. This initiative simplifies the testing and validation of innovations, ensuring that new technologies reach practical applications faster.

These labs are the place to innovate, collaborate, and share knowledge. Tech companies and growers connect, exchange ideas, and witness innovations in action.

The RoboCrops datahub serves as the online tool for the datalab, integrating data from various sources—ranging from climate sensors to robots—demonstrating how connected data accelerates innovation. This whitelabel platform, powered by 30MHz technology, offers a custom domain, API, and dashboards.

🚀 Collaboration is key: “The Netherlands can only compete on a global level if we continue to work together,” says Jeroen van Zwieten (30MHz). Suzanne Verboon (NXTGEN Agrifood) adds: “We need each other—growers, cultivators, tech—make the mix!”
