The Aranet Soil sensor (WET150) is a battery-powered, wireless soil moisture sensor with built-in temperature and electrical conductivity meters for monitoring irrigation and nutrient delivery to plants. Measuring the volumetric water content of soil or substrate allows growers to optimize watering parameters.
The sensor measures three crucial variables that influence plant growth: moisture content, temperature and electrical conductivity (EC), a strong indicator of the general nutrient level in the substrate. While bulk electrical conductivity (ECb) provides insights into nutrient levels in the substrate, pore electrical conductivity (ECp) reliably represents the nutrient levels of the water available to the plant.
The white standard WET150 sensor stand is included in the packaging. The metal WET150 Sensor Installation Bracket must be purchased separately.
