3 new platform features

December 22, 2023

Over the past few months, significant efforts have been made to further develop the 30MHz platform. The new features make using the platform easier and more carefree, allowing you to focus on what truly matters: cultivation. Now, even more target focused with the automatic RTR trendline and the new Growing Degree Days (GDD) application.

1. Automatically determine the optimal RTR trendline.

The Radiation-Temperature Ratio (RTR) app helps improve temperature and light balance for optimizing energy consumption and crop growth. The RTR strategy you follow can now be optimized based on your historical data. Choose a period during which your RTR approach went smoothly, and the optimal RTR strategy will be automatically calculated for you. Using the app, you can then consistently steer towards this optimal strategy. This effortlessly achieves a consistent light-temperature balance in your greenhouse. If you prefer to use your own RTR strategy, that is still possible.

2. Never go offline unnoticed with the new gateway notifications.

It is crucial to always have access to the latest data on the dashboard, even when the internet connection is temporarily less stable. Therefore, you will now receive a notification whenever the gateway is offline. This way, you immediately know when issues arise and can address them in a timely manner. We can temporarily store data on the gateway for you, but make sure to get back online quickly to avoid losing any data. This ensures you never miss important insights and can make decisions based on the latest data.

3. Insight into the growing season of your plant with the new GDD application.

Timing is crucial to maximize the yield and quality of your crops. The new Growing Degree Days (GDD) application helps you achieve your plant and production goals on schedule. Growing Degree Days are a way to measure the heat energy your plants receive during a specific period. The total sum of Growing Degree Days is an indication of your plant’s growth stage. Plan for the harvest based on Growing Degree Days. The app provides a quick overview of the Growing Degree Days target, the achieved Growing Degree Days, and the amount that is still needed to reach the target. Optionally graphs on temperature and light provide additional context to the achieved Growing Degree Days.
